I’ve spent my career at the intersection of language, literacy, and equity — not just in the classroom, but in writers’ rooms, school districts, community centers, and across borders.

When PBS needed guidance on making their children’s programming more inclusive and educational, I joined as a literacy consultant — reviewing scripts, evaluating episodes, and leading curriculum summits for writers. I helped translate academic frameworks into meaningful stories that reach millions of young viewers.

In school districts, I’ve worked shoulder-to-shoulder with teachers, leading professional development sessions that turn theory into practice. I’ve also sat with parents — in church basements, school cafeterias, and community halls — helping families navigate bilingual education with clarity and confidence.

Internationally, I’ve advised ministries of education and grassroots educators alike. From Cambodia to the Philippines to Hong Kong, I’ve collaborated with stakeholders across every level of the system — shaping multilingual education policies, building language targets, and ensuring learners' linguistic identities are valued and reflected.
